Obsidian Wraith is an original guitar-and-bass tone workstation created by RiffedGuitars. It combines two purpose-built realms, original visual direction, cabinet and microphone identities, guided tone workflows, and a professional VST3 release path.
Original assets and separately licensed components
Obsidian Wraith is free, with optional donations, under the license supplied with the installer. Both realms and updates are included. Restrictions on original proprietary artwork and branding do not override rights granted by separately licensed open-source software or sample libraries. Keep the supplied license and attribution notices, and consult the applicable component license before redistribution or modification.
PRIVACY
Only the data needed for the feature
Public pages can be browsed without an account. Sign-in is used for Profile, Tone Card transfers, Wraith Circle participation, and management permissions—not to unlock audio features. Connecting the app to your website profile enables Tone Card transfers only. Profile, community, application, and newsletter information is used to provide those requested services. Local plug-in audio, captures, impulse responses, and credentials are not silently uploaded by the workstation.
Obsidian Void support conversations are account-protected and server-managed, not end-to-end encrypted. Authorized support staff can access support content. Sharing a Tone Card sends a settings-only copy to that conversation and does not publish the original. Removing your message removes its text and attachment from the conversation, but cannot recall copies already saved by a recipient. Reports retain the selected message and attachment for safety review. Closing a conversation stops replies without deleting history. Encrypted friend conversations are not available yet, and will never silently fall back to this support mode.
THIRD-PARTY TECHNOLOGY
Clear attribution and independence
Obsidian Wraith is a modified workstation built on open-source Neural Amp Modeler technology under its applicable license. It is not endorsed by or affiliated with the Neural Amp Modeler project. Microsoft, Windows, Azure, ChatGPT, OpenAI, DAW names, and other third-party marks belong to their respective owners.
Cadence’s recorded kits include CC0 and CC BY-SA 3.0 sample material. Creator credits and sample-library licenses accompany the installer; those terms apply to the supplied or modified libraries, not blanket ownership of your songs. See the kit sources and scope.
RELEASE INTEGRITY
Versioned packages and published checksums
Official Windows releases identify the product version and publish a SHA-256 checksum for the exact installer. Version 2.4.10 is not yet code-signed, so Windows may show an Unknown Publisher verification warning. Future Azure Artifact Signing is intended to add a verified publisher identity and tamper-evident signature while preserving normal Windows approval controls.
WARRANTY & RESPONSIBILITY
Use professional judgment
Software is provided under its accompanying license and to the extent permitted by applicable law. Compatibility can vary by computer, driver, DAW, and plug-in environment. Back up sessions, audition at a safe volume, verify installers before running them, and test updates before critical recording or performance work.
